Google and Apple collaborated to create an application to track Covid-19 deployments. This Bluetooth based application aims to prevent the spread of the corona virus even wider.

In designing the Covid-19 application, Google and Apple made user privacy and multiple layers of security the basis of the design.

This application was made because Covid-19 can be transmitted through short distances by infected individuals. Therefore, an application to track the spread of Covid-19 is very useful to help with its spread.

A number of leading public health authorities, universities, and NGOs around the world have also sought to develop the technology.

Applications made by Google and Apple themselves are considered as a comprehensive solution in the fight against corona virus. Because the application is designed to include application programming interfaces or APIs, and operating system level technology that helps contact tracing.

Given the urgent need to curb the spread of the corona virus, Google and Apple also plan to implement their application in two steps.

First, in May, the two companies will release an API that allows interoperability or system integration between Android and iOS using applications from public health authorities. The application will later be available for download on the Google Play Store or App Store.

Second, in the coming months, Apple and Google will work to activate the broader Bluetooth-based Covid-19 contact tracking platform by building this functionality into the underlying platform.
