Agent Offers Insurance? Here's How to Deal With It

According to Article 1 paragraph 10 of Law No. 2 of 1992, an insurance agent can be defined as a person or legal entity whose activities provide services in marketing insurance for and on behalf of the insurer (insurance company).

Choosing insurance alone can certainly be confusing, that's why insurance companies deploy agents. Agents can also help with the claim process or use of the insurance products they have purchased.

So what should we prepare before we meet an insurance agent? Let's see the review below.

Explore and understand agent responsibilities

Check the track record of the insurance agent who meets you because the relationship between an insurance agent and a customer is truly long-term.

Agents are not only the spearhead of insurance product sales, but will also be the bridge between customers and insurance companies. They are also the ones who will later assist in all claim processes.

With the help of an agent, you can certainly get an insurance product that suits your needs. Therefore, do not hesitate to ask and dig up information about the insurance product.

Be open about your finances

Don't hesitate to be open with your agent about your current financial situation. Ask for product recommendations that match your financial capabilities and can provide maximum protection.

You should know that there is no standard formula or ideal calculation regarding the amount of premium based on your income. However, to ensure your finances are safe, just allocate a maximum of 15% of your monthly income for insurance premiums.

Don't lie about your health condition to the agent.

In insurance, there is a process called underwriting. Underwriting can be defined as a process to assess and classify the level of risk of the insured and make decisions regarding risk acceptance.

It is imperative to be frank and honest about our current medical condition to the insurance agent. Do not lie because it can complicate your claim process in the future.

Be critical of what they offer

Be more critical when insurance agents offer their products to you. Ask for a complete explanation of the benefits of the coverage in detail, the duration of protection, and so on.

Don't hesitate to ask for a more detailed explanation regarding the product you want to buy, starting from the benefits and so on, to the claims process.

If you buy unit link insurance, you also have the right to ask for an explanation regarding the investment placement in your insurance.

Don't hesitate to refuse

There are many cases in the field that tell how someone was forced to agree to an insurance offer because they "didn't feel good about the agent." Or even worse, "bought because it helped the agent to close."

This is generally caused by a friendly or brotherly relationship between the agent and the customer.

Know that buying insurance must be based on needs. And insurance is an expense that you must pay routinely every year.

Buying the wrong insurance can result in losses in the future.

Benefits of Studying History in Life

Spanish philosopher George Santayana once said, "Those who do not study history will be condemned to repeat history themselves." This sentence shows how important it is to study history. Because there are many benefits to studying history.

Most of us probably think that history is a boring subject because it is dominated by memory and memorization. That's why many people don't understand its history. In fact, there are many benefits to learning history that we can take away.

In fact, some of the benefits of studying history are practical benefits, which we can apply in everyday life. By studying history, we can make wise decisions for the future, which are based on lessons or values that have occurred in the past.

Benefits of Studying History to Know Events and Occurrences in the Past

The benefits of studying history can help us understand events and occurrences that occurred in the past. By studying history, we can understand the origins of events, institutions, and societies and trace their development over time.

Apart from that, the benefits of studying history can also enable us to learn from mistakes that occurred in the past, so that we can avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future. Knowledge of history also helps us understand cultural identities and values that have developed over generations.

More than that, the benefits of studying history teach us about the cause-and-effect relationships of events and develop analytical and critical skills in assessing historical sources. Knowing past events and occurrences has important impacts, including providing a better context for understanding the world today, assisting in wise decision making, preventing the repetition of mistakes, and fostering a sense of pride and identity. In other words, studying history provides rich and deep insight into how the past shapes and influences our world today, and helps us build a better future.

Benefits of Studying History to Improve Analytical Skills

The benefits of studying history can also improve a person's analytical skills. Through studying history, individuals are taught to analyze past events in a more in-depth and critical way. This involves understanding the social, political, cultural, and economic context of the past. By understanding these factors, one can identify and analyze the influences and interactions that influence a particular event.

The benefits of studying history also teach the ability to recognize patterns of events, connect cause and effect, and understand the long-term impact of an event. The ability to analyze historical sources, such as documents and records, is also a skill developed in this process.

Thus, the benefits of studying history are not only understanding the facts of the past, but also helping to hone analytical skills that are useful in various aspects of life, including in decision making, evaluating information, and a deeper understanding of the complexity of today's world.

Benefits of Studying History to Understand Identity

The benefits of studying history also have an important role in helping individuals understand and formulate their identity. Through the study of history, one can explore the cultural roots, origins, and development of societies and nations. This allows them to associate themselves with the cultural heritage, religion, language and traditions that shape their identity.

By understanding the history of their group, individuals can develop a sense of pride in their identity and appreciate cultural diversity. The benefits of studying history also help in understanding the conflicts and challenges faced by certain groups, deepening understanding of the values they adhere to, and how these values influence interactions with the outside world.

Understanding identity through a historical lens can also overcome stereotypes, prejudice, and intercultural misunderstanding, resulting in a deeper understanding of human interconnectedness around the world. Thus, the benefits of studying history contribute to forming a richer perspective on personal and collective identity and increasing tolerance and appreciation for diversity.

Benefits of Studying History as a Media for Education and Learning

The benefits of studying history can also be a medium for education and learning, as well as in developing individual character. Through the study of history, students not only get to know past events, but also understand the social, political and cultural context that shaped them. History provides a window for students to understand the roots of the problems and developments that brought the world to its current form.

Apart from that, the benefits of studying history also have an important role in character development. From stories of heroes, leaders and historical events, students can learn the values of courage, honesty, cooperation and determination. They can identify role models who can shape their personalities and imbibe strong ethical principles.

In addition, the benefits of studying history can teach empathy and understanding of different perspectives, considering that history often represents a variety of points of view. This helps students develop critical and analytical thinking skills in dealing with complex problems, as well as appreciating the complexity of human life.

Therefore, the benefits of studying history in education are not only limited to mastering facts, but also involve the formation of dignified character and based on positive values.

Dating and learning motivation, are they related?

"Why are you dating..???" "Because dating can make you excited to learn!" Dating is a word we have often heard. Yes, right? Of course, most of the readers already understand the meaning of this one word. And some of our friends or maybe we ourselves have done it, whether it's on the basis of liking or just looking for status. What is clear is that the Shari'a does not allow this. Look back at the sentence above. An answer that actually makes sense when asked the same thing. If you look at the answer above, it will feel strange if this religious law prohibits its adherents from dating. In the end, dating can lead to good grades due to the emergence of learning motivation. But friends, wait a minute, that's a theory that hasn't even been empirically proven. So don't just believe in the truth, okay!?

Let's talk more about this contradiction. Basically, learning motivation can come because there is something that encourages the individual to achieve something he wants. In practice, a child will be more enthusiastic in learning when his parents will give a gift if the child gets a satisfactory score on the exam. Of course it is not prohibited, in fact it is recommended for every parent, especially those with low-motivated children. Likewise with teenagers, learning motivation has become something that is very much needed. This happens because in addition to strict study hours, the subjects are quite complicated and the demands of each family color their days. This can cause their learning motivation to fade, right, my friend? For those of us who are still teenagers, we certainly feel where our learning motivation decreases or even increases.

The point is that the motivation to learn for teenagers is still very unstable. Like being a place of escape, dating provides a separate space for those who lose their motivation in learning. Of course this was pioneered by non-Muslims, or even Muslims who did not understand the teachings of their religion. Sounds sad, right? Therefore it is not strange if the question "why are you dating?" can be answered with "because dating can make the spirit of learning!" they put forward various reasons from A to Z from 1 to 1000. After all, in fact, if they are dating because they like each other, they feel more or less an increase in learning motivation. But if in the end they can't control their likes and dislikes, then their learning motivation ends with changing their motivation for immorality. Too complicated? Okay, let's just keep it simple.

There is a woman let's call her name Ruri. She loves a man named John. Ruri feels more enthusiastic in learning because it is motivated by John who is always enthusiastic about learning and has above average grades. Then because of environmental encouragement, Ruri confessed his love for John and unexpectedly John also loved Ruri. So they are dating. They spend more time together by walking together and what is called a date. Now my question is where is the increase in learning motivation? The answer was right before Ruri and John met, and before Ruri told John that Ruri loved him, before Ruri found out that John also loved her. Then what concept can be taken? The public has mispronounced "love" and "dating". They say "dating can increase motivation to learn" if we think about the above case, motivation to learn arises when we love other people

The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Education

Currently the world is shocked by the outbreak of a disease caused by a virus called corona or known as covid-19 (Corona Virus diseases-19).

The virus that was allegedly started to plague December 31, 2019 in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, is now spreading almost everywhere in the world very quickly, so WHO on March 11, 2020 established this outbreak as a global pandemic.

Hundreds of thousands of people have been exposed to this virus around the world, and even tens of thousands have died. Noted countries that have high cases of exposure to co-19 today are Italy, China, Spain, the United States, and Iran with death rates reaching thousands of people. Very fast transmission and the difficulty of detecting people who are exposed because the incubation period of covid-19 is approximately two weeks is the cause of many casualties.
Transmission through contact between humans is difficult to predict because social activities that can not be avoided is the biggest cause of the spread of this co-19. An antidote that has not been found and the number of patients exposed to covid-19 is the highest cause of death. Hospitals and paramedics who menagani feel overwhelmed so much
patients that are not handled properly. Difficult Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for paramedics causes patients to fall including doctors and other paramedics who are also exposed
covid-19 so he finally died.

The complexity of the handling of this epidemic has led world leaders to adopt super policies
tight to break the chain of distribution of covid-19. Social distancing becomes a tough choice for every country in implementing policies to prevent the spread of co-19, because
this policy has a negative impact on all aspects of life.

Restrictions on social interaction
society can inhibit the rate of growth and progress in various fields of life, but there is no other choice, because this method is the most effective.
Social distancing policies have a fatal impact on the wheels of human life, economic problems that are most felt the impact, because this touches various layers of society, the slowing down of the economic pace results in the closure of the primary human needs to fulfill it, because the state will be very burdened if it has to bear all the basic needs of each population.

No exception to the education sector also affected by this policy. The sudden decision of the government to dismiss or move the learning process from school / madrasa to at home, has made many parties confused.

The unpreparedness of school / madrasah stakeholders to carry out online learning is a major factor in this chaos, even though the government actually provides alternative solutions in assessing students as a condition of promotion or graduation from an educational institution during an emergency situation as it is today.
The transition to this way of learning forces various parties to follow the flow if possible
taken so that learning can take place, and the choice is the use of technology as a medium of online learning. Use this technology too
actually not without problems, many factors that inhibit the implementation of effectiveness
online learning includes:

1. Technology mastery is still low.

It must be admitted that not all technology literate teachers, especially generation X teachers (born 1980 and below) who were not using massive technology during their time.

Actually they are not able to if they want to learn, they must be able to because the principle is the teacher is human
learners who must always be ready to face the changing times while following their development.
The situation is almost the same for students, not all are accustomed to using technology in their daily lives. Even in schools they have to fight in using learning support technology because of the limited facilities owned by schools / madrasas, maybe even they are not introduced to technology in
learning.

2. Limited facilities and infrastructure
The ownership of technology supporting devices is also a problem. No secret
general that the welfare of teachers is still very low, so let alone to fulfill things
To meet the basic needs of his family, there are still many teachers who struggle. The same thing happens to students, because not all of their parents are able to give
technological facilities to her children. Even if they have facilities, they are not used as media to support learning, due to ignorance of parents in
guiding his child to the use of technology in learning.

3. Internet network
Online learning cannot be separated from the use of the internet network. Not all schools / madrasas are connected to the internet so that the teachers are also in their daily lives
not used to using it. Even if someone uses a cellular network, sometimes the network is unstable because of the geographical location which is still far from the reach of cellular signals.

4. Cost
The internet network that is needed in online learning is a problem for teachers and students. The quota purchased for internet needs has increased and many of the teachers and parents of students are not ready to increase the budget for providing internet networks.
This online learning method is actually not new, because in some countries
especially in developed countries this activity is used. The learning process in tertiary institutions especially, not only abroad but in Indonesia is also used to being implemented, however
for learning at the level of elementary and secondary education units is not yet so popular that it takes real preparation to run well.
The development of the times will require changes in civilization, and this will have an impact on the way or methods of learning that are commonly done. In an age of technology as it is today, it is possible that the next Teaching and Learning Process will be carried out online, given the effectiveness in the transfer of knowledge that is very good, fast, easy and inexpensive.
Changes in civilization and this method requires educational stakeholders to prepare themselves to follow the development of the era as it is today. Nobody can
refute or reject the rapid development of this technology, even if someone rejects it, then get ready to be left behind, even be crushed by others.
Technology is like two blades, each of which has an equal role, namely the sides
positive and negative effects on changes in human civilization. All aspects of life today cannot be separated from technology, therefore technology literacy is very much
important for society, so that the use of technology is truly beneficial without harming and
also has a negative impact on the fabric of life.
Specifically in the field of education, this technological literacy needs to be learned by all education stakeholders, especially in its use as the current online learning media,

on going. The things that need to be understood and realized by educational stakeholders include:

1. Parents
True children's education is the absolute responsibility of parents, because in the future even parents will be held accountable for their respective children. PBM activities
conducted online forcing parents to be directly involved in activities
learning of their children, many experiences that they feel when they have to accompany.
Crowded in various social media that tells their experiences during accompanying
her children learn both positive and negative. Like for example it turns out there are parents who
often get angry because they have unruly children so they can't stand it
want their children to learn again at school.
This incident gave awareness to parents that it was not easy to educate children, it requires enormous knowledge and patience. So with this incident
parents must realize and know how to guide their children
in learning, it is hoped that after getting this experience parents want to learn how to educate their children at home.
Home is the first and foremost place in educating children, therefore with the implementation of online learning when children will be more at home and
they need guidance from their parents. The function of the house is now increasing, namely as a school, parents must learn how to educate and provide knowledge to children, because the teacher or school functions only as a facilitator.

2. Teacher
Online learning must be an awareness for teachers that their current role is
teachers who only transfer knowledge will one day be replaced by more sophisticated teachers, namely machine teachers. The media to gain knowledge now is very much
many, do not depend on the teacher alone even there are still many limitations.
Nowadays there are many media that can play the role of teacher, and there are even terms human and machine teachers. Technology can play a role as a teacher, well this teacher is called a machine teacher, science
very much knowledge can be learned using machines, let's say the media is the internet. By using the internet people can find out something
he wanted quickly without being limited by time and space.
Teachers who only position themselves as transferring knowledge already have.

3. School
Schools as educational institutions must be prepared to anticipate changes in human civilization. Changes in human behavior that tend to not be separated from technology in all its activities must also be followed by schools / madrasas.
The impact of the co-19 pandemic provides valuable experience, how the role of schools / madrasas that have been central to education seems meaningless. Educational programs
conducted in schools / madrasas which were considered very important because they affect the quality of education now seems to be meaningless. The government canceled the National Examination (UN), the National Standard School Examination (UASBN), prohibited activities that gathered large crowds and other important programs that could be carried out in schools / madrasas.
These activities are now replaced by activities that must be done online, although currently the government does not require all school / madrasah programs to
implemented online because of the current situation in an emergency. But I believe that online activities can now be the initial process of paradigm shift
about implementing PBM in education from pre-school to higher education.
Therefore, if a school / madrasah does not want to be excluded from this change, then inevitably it must follow this change. Schools / madrasas must start thinking of facilities and
supporting infrastructure for online learning, training teachers to master online learning support technology and socializing to students and parents about changes in learning methods to be implemented.
One time it is possible that the magnificent buildings of schools / madrasas which were initially crowded with the hustle and bustle of the activities of teachers and students, only a memory and become a quiet place
which may change its function because it is not used again for learning activities. Humans at that time did not need to learn to come to school, just stay at home, play computers, laptops or gadgets to carry out learning activities, the teacher needed to be a mentor and facilitator from a distance whose activities were the same as students, namely simply playing the devices needed to support online learning .
The current situation is a challenge for the world of education, changing management
education is needed to keep pace with changes very quickly. Manual and conventional learning methods are now starting to be replaced by online digital systems that are not limited by time and space. The role of schools / madrasas today is more dynamic, no longer just a gathering place for teachers and students who will implement PBM.

4. Government
The role of government is very important in determining policies related to the national education system. All educational institutions must obey and obey the rules
determined, because national education has the same goal in efforts to build the nation. In an emergency situation such as the current pandemic covid-19, the government quickly issued a policy regarding the implementation of online learning that must be carried out by every educational institution, even though the rules are not binding.
In other situations, this policy might be continued from another perspective. Technological advances that allow for the implementation of online learning,
also see the culture of people who are technologically literate, it is not impossible that this policy will continue and become a decree made by the government to be implemented. And me again-
again believing that this method will be the usual method in PBM in the future.
The government must have prepared rules to establish this policy, because it pays attention to the global community that cannot be separated from technology / internet at this time.
Indonesia inevitably has to follow the current trend if it doesn't want to be left behind
by other countries. After establishing this policy the government should also pay attention to supporting devices so that people can follow this policy properly without negative excesses and create new problems, because of the diversity of economic, social, geographic and other factors that exist in Indonesia.
Every change in civilization will certainly have positive and negative consequences, but all people must be able to follow these changes which of course is limited by the norms that apply in society itself. Humans are social creatures that can not possibly live
without interaction with others both locally and globally.
The shift of human behavior from manual to digital as it is happening today in terms of the positive
is that it can make it easier to solve human affairs. Work can be done without
requires a long time, costs can be pressed and unlimited space. Nowadays people can meet their needs while in the house.

Helping Your Child Overcome Back to School Anxiety

Feelings of anxiety are normal and expected during the transition or change. This is especially true for children and youth will return to school, or for first-timers start kindergarten. This transition can be stressful and disruptive for the whole family! Before the first day of school, your anxious child may cling, cry, have anger, complaining of headaches or stomach aches, withdraw, and become sullen or angry.

Concerns are common. anxious children and adolescents are worried about issues related to different schools, such as teachers, friends, fitting in, and / or being away from their parents. Some common concerns include:

Who will be my new teacher?
What if a new teacher I mean?
Will be one of my friends are in my class?
Do I fit in?
Is my clothes OK?
Do I look stupid?
Who will I sit with at lunch?
What if I miss the bus?
What if I can not understand the new school?
What if something bad happened to mom or dad when I was in school?
While it's normal for your child to have a concern, it is very important to your child's school. Avoidance schools will only increase and strengthen your child's fears in the long term, and make it increasingly more difficult to attend. In addition to missing school work, children and teenagers who live at home because of anxiety miss:

a valuable opportunity to develop and practice social skills
opportunities critical to the success and mastery
recognized and praised for talent
develop a close friendship with classmate
Most importantly, anxious children and adolescents who skip school can not collect evidence challenging unwarranted fears and their disaster!

How To Deal With Back-to-School Worries!

Here are some general strategies parents can use to handle back-to-school concerns, followed by a schedule leading up to the first day of school.

Look after the basics.

Nothing copes well when they are tired or hungry. anxious children often forget to eat, do not feel hungry, and do not get enough sleep. Providing frequent and nutritious snacks for your child.During this time, you also need to build in a regular routine, so life more predictable for your child. This routine may involve the morning and sleeping habits, and eating schedule. See Healthy Habits for Homes

Encourage your child to share his fears.

Ask your child what makes him worry. Tell your child that it is normal to have fears. Before and during the first few weeks of school, set a regular time and place to talk. Some children feel most comfortable in a private room with your full attention (such as before bed or during meal time). Teenagers often welcome some disturbance to cut the intensity of the concerns and feelings (such as driving a car, or walk around) them.

Avoid providing certainty ... is not, solve problems and plan! Children often seek reassurance that bad things will not happen to reduce their fears. Do not convince them with "Do not worry!" Or "Everything will be fine!" Instead, encourage your child to think of ways to solve his problem. For example, "If the (worst) case, what can you do?" Or "Let's think about some ways you can handle the situation." It gives you the opportunity to coach your child on how to tackle (and interpret), both real and imagined a scary situation. You also will give your child the tools he needs to cope with unexpected situations that may arise. See How Reassurance address excessive Looking for more details.

Here is a sample script for your child involved in problem solving and planning (instead of guarantee):

Role-play with your child. Sometimes playing the role of a particular situation with your child can help him make a plan, and feel more confident that he will be able to handle the situation. For example, let your child play the part of teachers or classmates bullying demands. Then, model appropriate responses and tackle technique for your child, to help them calm down. For more information about role-playing, see Kids Helping Your Anxious friends

Focus on the positive! Encourage your child to re-direct the attention of the concerns, and the positive direction. Ask your child, "What are three things you are most passionate in the first day of school?" Most children can think of something good, even if it's just a special snack or go home at the end of the day. Chances are that fun aspect just get ignored by recurrent concerns.

Paying attention to your own behavior. It can cause anxiety for parents to hand over the care and responsibility of their children to teachers. Children take cues from their parents, so the more confidence and comfort you can model, the more your child will understand there is no reason to fear. Be supportive but firm. When saying goodbye in the morning, saying it cheerfully - once! Make sure you do not value your child protests, crying, or angry by allowing him to avoid going to school. Conversely, in a calm tone, said: "I can see that going to school scares you, but you still have to go. Tell me what you worry about, so we can talk about it." Most likely, your child is anxious about something require a bit of problem solving, role-playing, planning, and / or involvement of teachers.

Timeline Leading Up First Day of School
(You may not need to take all these steps)

At least one week before:

Start your child on the school-day routine - wake up, eat, and sleep at a regular time. Explain that everyone in the family needs to adjust to the new schedule, so she does not feel alone with this change.
For children who have trouble getting up and out of bed, give them the "big people" alarm clock, and let them practice using it.
Ask your child to help school lunch plan for the first week.
Create a list of school supplies together and planning a pleasant shopping trip.
Teaching and practicing skills to use when feeling nervous, such as How to Do Breathing Calm and Developing and Using Cognitive Coping Cards
A few days before the school:

Go to the school several times - walking, driving, or taking the bus. For young children who take school buses, describe and draw out the bus routes, including where the bus goes and how long it takes to get to school. Talk about bus safety.
For new students, taking a tour of the school. Check your child's classroom, cafeteria, and a bathroom. If possible, meet your child's teacher with your child present.
Ask your child to help choose an outfit for the first week of school. Let your child wear her favorite clothes on the first day.
Together with your child, pack her school the night before, including treats.
For younger children were nervous separating, suggest taking a special object to school that reminds him of home. A reassuring note in the afternoon children can also help ease separation anxiety.
First day of school:

Have your child go to school with a friend for the first few days.
Tell the teacher that your child has some separation anxiety - most teachers who are experts in this field, and has many years of experience!
Most importantly, praise and reward your child for daring behavior!

AVOID VIOLENCE, THIS WAY TO HANDLE NAUGHTY CHILD

Students especially junior high school student is someone who is on the future development towards adulthood. The developmental stage of students at schools ranging from psychological, physical to have an ability to find new things that this can not be found at home. But there are often children do not behave according to the rules, whether the rules at school (discipline) and to the rules applicable in society .. Master, be it the subject teachers and homeroom and teachers BP has an obligation to straighten attitude naughty boy at school and in the community to provide children's education perfection.

Avoid Overcoming Juvenile Violence

Teachers should be avoided wherever possible violence, especially violence that can leave a scar on the students concerned. If this happens then the educators concerned will be affected by the legislation of Article 54 of Law No. 23 of 2001 on the protection of the Child which states: "Children at home and school environment must be protected from acts of violence committed by teachers, school administrators or friends in your school, or other educational institution.

Make Approach In Persuasive
One way to overcome such a child character in a way that is persuasive to approach by means of taking or giving a special close attention to the children. But attention that is given should not seem too excessive by other students. Sometimes delinquency / noise that they do in fact merely to get attention from us. so it's good we interacted with them goods a minutes just to show our concern and determine the cause of the problems of the child so that the child feels cared for and we can find a solution in dealing with the child.

Then dig the cause his naughtiness, what for lack of attention in the family or the influence of the environment he place. if a teacher has to know the background of why children inside and outside the classroom naughty, it is helpful in addressing the child's misbehavior.

Know Cause mischief
To try to overcome a bad boy at school, teachers should pay attention to the cause first. As a good teacher, you can not directly impose penalties on the child, because children generally a personal one innocent and have not found out what the real rogue. Son is a man who still do something on what is seen, heard and felt. So that the penalty is not the answer or the right solution to stop the mischief.

How this can be done by observing the behavior in the classroom. In this case, a teacher must be really patient while observing the deviant behavior of children. When it was discovered the cause of naughty children, whether entirely his fault or whether it is the child who started the problem with her is a question that must be answered from these observations. Once an answer is found, a teacher should encourage children to speak carefully and lovingly. Take him to talk in a warm atmosphere, and does not tend to be intimidating.
